Sally Gausden

Sally leads our firm’s tax team.

Her role is to ensure that the team provides timely and relevant tax advice, tailored to clients’ individual needs and to ensure that all tax compliance matters are appropriately dealt with by the statutory deadlines.

She particularly enjoys the variety in her work, which includes planning for individuals, trusts and estates, for various UK taxes including income, capital gains and inheritance tax.

Sally qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the local branch of a (then) top 10 firm after graduating from London University with a History degree. She then moved to a local firm and became a partner, practising there for nearly 30 years, before that firm merged with Plummer Parsons in 2017. The fact that the majority of the team that moved to Plummer Parsons remain with us today is testament to Sally’s skills and knowledge.  

During her years in practice Sally has volunteered and been involved with, the South Eastern and East Sussex Groups of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a local residents’ association, a local Further Education College and has organised a Business Women’s Lunch Club.

Sally is also Company Secretary and Director of a small public limited company that trades locally.

Sally enjoys a competitive game of tennis and less competitive hiking over the South Downs.
